I have been playing violin most of my life, starting in the 5th grade, and teaching since 1985. I currently play with the Cabrillo Symphony and various string ensembles. My husband, Jeff, is my favorite musical companion and we are blessed to play at couples weddings and other events. I am a trained classical violinist and I als$45enjoy Celtic music ( Irish, Scottish, French jigs, reels, aires, and ballads) so I teach both depending on the desire of the student. My home, in Mount Hermon, Cal., is my music studio where I teach Iindividual lessons.

Her name is Alex and she just turned 13. I'm not sure which type of music that she's interested in learning, but she loves the violin and has expressed an interest in learning. She took piano lessons for 1 year when she was 8. She doesn't remember much from that experience. I was thinking she should start out with half-hour lessons. Does that sound right for a beginner?

Hello. I am writing to try to see if you and Jeff have any CD's for sale, ITunes, etc. You played at my wedding at Mount Hermon four years ago.
