My dad was a collector of Japanese art. He gave me a gorgeous raw silk Maru (formal) Obi, wanting me to make something from it. I finally did! This purse features the wave portion of Obi and full grain vege tan navy leather. Flap (with magnet) closure. Pretty lining includes zip pocket and two slip pockets. Strap adjusts to 42″. All hardware copper and antique brass.

I padded The Obi panel with cotton interfacing, fleece and thin leather to give it same weight as leather. 😊
